Dominus.... a parte le mie prime impressioni, vedendo adesso altre foto e soprattutto il video di RT sul volo (

), non mi sembra poi così male...

Neanche come stealthness... in fondo una fusione fra Su-27, YF-23 e ha qualcosa anche dell'F-22.

Mi lascia perplesso la zona motori (che però non sono quelli definitivi) e la zona cockpit. Il radome è stato "sfaccettato" in maniera diversa rispetto all'F-22 ma non significa che non sia valida.

D'altra parte, l'RCS non sarà sicuramente alla pari dell'F-22, ma bisogna vedere l'avionica e i sistemi. Anche se la tradizione russa non è di superare gli USA in questo aspetto, non si sa mai!!!! Quali altre sorprese avrà il Pak Fa?

The first fifth-generation Russian stealth fighter has successfully passed a flight test in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in the Russian Far East. The Voice of Russia has the details.

 

The plane is officially named a promising front-line aviation aircraft system, and has been designed by the Sukhoi design office. The office is known world-wide by its Su-27 aircraft and its modifications. According to official sources, Russia's Defence Ministry will start purchasing the new stealth fighter as of 2015, with Su-35 fighters to be bought for the Russian Air Force until then. When rearmed with the new multipurpose aircraft, the Russian Air Force will be able to attain numerous objectives, says the president of the Institute for Strategic Estimates and Analysis Alexander Konovalov, and elaborates:

 

"The fifth-general fighter, Alexander Konovalov says, boasts improved combat characteristics and better protection. These fighters will use the "stealth" technology, but a new one that differs from the previously used technology. The aircraft will prove more streamlined than the US stealth planes, which are hard to control. The Russian aircraft is automatically controlled. The plane will also boast the weapon systems that are basically different from the currently used ones. The fighter will prove invulnerable not only because is boasts the stealth technology. The plane per se is but a flying platform, and it becomes a weapon system when equipped with onboard electronic systems, guidance systems and weapons proper. It is then that one can assess the plane's real-term effectiveness".

 

The new Sukhoi fighter has been said to be super-manoeuvrable. It can attain a top speed of 2000 odd kilometres per hour and cover a distance of 5,500 kilometres. The aircraft is hard to detect by radars, partly because a half of the 16 missile pylons are located inside the fuselage. The plane is known to bristle with highly sophisticated "intellectual" electronics. The editor-in-chief of the National Defence magazine Igor Korotchenko has volunteered to elaborate:

 

"Aside from making traditional manoeuvres, Igor Korotcheko says, the plane will be able to respond to voice commands. In other words, the plane's onboard computer will be stuffed with a basically new electronic "brain".

 

True, this will cause the armed forces to pay for retraining the pilots. But numerous experts are certain that the fifth-generation fighter will be 5 to 6 times cheaper in use. According to military experts, the new Russian aircraft is placed somewhere between two similar US fighters, the light F-22 and the heavy X-35. Russia's Air Force is expected to buy a total of 150 to 220 new aircraft. Russia will also sell the fighter to other countries. One potential buyer has been said to be India, which has recently been engaged in military R&D in close cooperation with Russian designers.

Si, a proposito questo non è il look finale, i motori in serie saranno diversi (piu picoli ma piu potenti) vorrei anche notare che ce una cosa interesante, una specie di canrad(non so precisamente come si chiama) tra ala e fusoliera, inoltre l'aereo non è pitturato e senza RPM che dovrebbe coprire piccole imperfezioni.
