Ancora più incasinato...

55 TR4 rimpiazzano i Tornado nelle missioni convenzionali (ECR a parte che sono rimpiazzati dai Growler) e 38 rimpiazzano i vetuperati TR1 (che vuol dire? guai a mettegli bombe sotto le ali? Boh).

Quanto alle missioni "speciali" c'è il piccolo detteglio che mi pare nemmeno il SH essere al momento abilitato all'impiego di armamento nucleare (la US Navy le armi nucleari le dovrebbe aver sbarcate dalle portaerei), come non lo era l'EF-2000 e come invece lo sarebbe stato tra un po' l'F-35.

È così scadente come prestazioni? È un modello che non conosco molto nel dettaglio.

Era una considerazione estetica .

Però basta guardare le foto per capire che il " made in China " è un collage di soluzioni aerodinamiche  scopiazzate qui e là ( F- 16 e F-5 , così a naso ) .

L'unica cosa valida sembrano qualche pezzo di avionica e  il motore , un RD-33 ; quello del MiG 29 ( che , tra l'altro ne usava due ) , potente ma di epoca sovietica .

Cosa che potrebbe comportare i problemi di manutenzione dei motori di quell'epoca e di quel regime.

Più che un quarta generazione , come descritto da Wikipedia , direi un tre e tre quarti.

Tokyo hopes to start building the prototype of its Future Fighter in 2024, according to local media reports in Japan.

The new fighter will be deployed in 2035, when the Mitsubishi F-2 fighter will be due for retirement.
Japan’s Acquisition Technology & Logistics Agency recently told FlightGlobal that it is still looking at working with the UK and the USA on the programme, with a decision on the basic framework of international cooperation ready for the draft budget for JFY2021 – Japan’s 2021 fiscal year, which will run from 1 April 2021.
Future Fighter will be a fresh design, as opposed to an update of an older design, namely Lockheed Martin’s offer of a heavily updated version of the F-22 that is equipped with technologies found on the F-35.

Indonesia appears to be interested in 15 Eurofighters that are now part of the Austrian air force inventory.
Austria’s Die Presse reported on 18 July that Austrian defence minister Klaudia Tanner had received a letter from her Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto expressing interest in the 15 aircraft.
Copies purported to be of the letter soon emerged on social media. 
In it, Subianto writes that to help modernise the Indonesian air force he would like to enter “official deliberations” to buy all 15 examples.
“I am fully informed concerning the Eurofighter topic and the impact it had until today in Austria, and I am entirely aware of the sensitivity of that matter,” he adds. 
“Nonetheless, I am sure that my proposal offers a promising change for both sides.”
Munich’s deal for 15 Eurofighters was mired in controversy. 
In February 2018, Airbus agreed to pay a $99.5 million fine to conclude a six-year-old investigation by the Munich Public Prosecutor into allegations of bribery involving the 2003 sale of the Typhoons.
The settlement allowed Airbus to resolve the investigation with no finding that the company had bribed Austrian officials directly or through intermediaries to select the Eurofighter over other bidders.
In 2017, Munich said it would retire its of fleet Tranche 1 jets in 2020 amid a row with the four-nation consortium over the cost and capability of its aircraft.
Cirium fleets data lists all 15 jets as still being in service, with an average age of 13.5 years.
For several years Jakarta has been shopping around for new fighters. 
In November 2019, Indonesian state news agency Antara quoted the air force chief of staff Marshal Yuyu Sutisna as saying that two squadrons of Lockheed Martin F-16Vs would be obtained, and that a long delayed deal to buy Sukhoi Su-35s would go through.
In August 2017, Jakarta said it would buy 11 Su-35s for $1.14 billion; a cash and barter deal that would likely include a mix of local farm products such as palm oil and coffee. 
However, concerns about USA’s CAATSA (Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act) legislation against Russia, Iran, and North Korea appear to have made Jakarta think twice about buying Russian aircraft.
Jakarta is also junior partner in the Korea Aerospace Industries KF-X fighter programme, although it continues to squabble with Seoul about costs related to the type’s development.
News of Jakarta’s interest in used Eurofighters comes two weeks after a surprise announcement by the US government that Jakarta had been cleared to buy eight Bell Boeing MV-22 Block C Osprey tiltrotors in a deal valued at $2 billion.

Si vabbè, per carità, numeri, costi e prestazioni non sono certo il punto forte del Rafale, ma l’esperto russo (che ovviamente tira acqua al suo mulino e preferisce che l’India compri Su-30 invece che Rafale...) dovrebbe sapere che a mach 2.2 gli aerei russi e le loro copie cinesi col cavolo che ci arrivano in configurazione armata. Dovrebbe poi sapere che il Rafale indiano ha un radar AESA e non PESA, una traccia radar bassa abbinata a contromisure piuttosto sofisticate e missili Meteor che sono meglio di certi sigaroni russi che se la sono vista male anche con gli AIM-120 (e proprio gli indiani ne sanno qualcosa...).

Della serie certi vagoni volanti potrebbero venire aperti in due in aria prima che i loro piloti possano pensare di fare qualcosa...

Ricordo che quando in italia si parlava di 8000 posti di lavoro legati al programma F-35 (beninteso prima di tagli e rimodulazioni...) si alzò un coro di critiche che definivano le stime esagerate.

Per la gara in Canada RID riprende una stima già letta altrove relativa a 150000 posti...Francamente questi sembrano troppi.
