Però l'Iran di oggi non è la Germania del '39..... Comunque mi interessava di più parlare dell'ONU: a noi, come Italia, sta benone che l'ONU sia e rimanga una scatola vuota. Infatti tranne le rare occasioni in cui siamo membri del consiglio di sicurezza non contiamo una cippa. Certo siamo riusciti a bloccare il tentativo tedesco-indo-giapponese di aumentare il numero di membri permanenti del consiglio di sicurezza (germania, giappone e india dentro e noi fuori = nostra importanza politica all'ONU pari a quella del Botswana o del sultanato di Brunei), ma difficilmente riusciremo a diventare noi stessi membri permanenti. A quel punto facciamo in modo che l'ONU resti irrilevante e favoriamo quelle organizzazioni su cui abbiamo veramente voce in capitolo (per esempio l'allargamento del G-8 a Cina, India, Brasile, Sud-Africa ecc..)

Sukhoi's lone Su-35 prototype had by earlier this month completed 22 flights since making its flight debut on 19 February. General Norton Schwartz said the air force will soon present its plan to US Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who has expressed reservations about the need for more of the costly, state-of-the-art fighters. Schwartz said the plan called for "less than 381" fighters, the number the air force has long wanted to acquire. The air force chief would not put a number on how many additional fighters the air force now wants to buy, but said he would not dispute a figure of 60 put forth in December by Admiral Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Mullen and Gates have warned that the economic crisis will confront the military with hard choices on major weapons programs, many of which are burdened by cost overruns and delays. The F-22 costs 350 million dollars a copy when development costs are included. Conceived during the Cold War, the Lockheed-Martin-built F-22 has come under fire from critics as unsuited for the kind of guerilla wars that the United States is fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. The air force says the fighter is needed for potential conventional wars in the future with technologically advanced countries. China looms largest in that scenario. US lawmakers, for their part, refuse to halt a program that generates jobs in their districts. Schwartz said the air force was prepared to cut other parts of its budget if the Pentagon okays the additional F-22s. Sukhoi confirms Su-35 deliveries to Russian Air Force in 2011 15:40 | 19/ 02/ 2009 MOSCOW, February 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Sukhoi aircraft maker confirmed on Thursday that the advanced Su-35 Flanker multi-role fighter would enter service with the Russian Air Force in 2011. "The current progress of the Su-35 testing program confirms the earlier announced timeframe for the deliveries of the aircraft to Russian and foreign customers in 2011," the company said in a statement. The first two Su-35 prototypes have successfully conducted 87 flights since July 2008, demonstrating the aircraft's superior technical and combat characteristics. The aircraft features the new Irbis-E radar with a phased antenna array, which allows the pilot to detect and track up to 30 air targets, while simultaneously engaging up to eight targets. It is equipped with a 30-mm cannon with 150 rounds and can carry up to eight tons of combat payload on 12 external mounts. Sulle ronde penso bisogni distinguere nettamente tra due diversi "tipi": Se per ronde intendiamo un gruppo di privati cittadini che, volontariamente e gratuitamente, decidono di pattugliare le zone dove vivono "armati" di solo telefonino, allora mi può anche star bene. Questi "rondaioli" se assistono ad un reato dovranno limitarsi a telefonare alla polizia. Ovvio poi che se vedono 4 uomini tentare di stuprare una bambina intervengono, ma questo è un comportamento che mi aspetto da qualsiasi persona dotata di un minimo di dignità. Condizione fondamentale è il totale e tassativo divieto di portare armi. Il potere di intervento, come per qualsiasi privato cittadino, è limitato a reati contro la persona (stupro, ecc..) ma NON contro il patrimonio. Configurata così, la cosa già oggi è legale e non si sente di certo il bisogno di una normativa che le colleghi a prefetti, sindaci e quant'altro come vorrebbe la Lega nella sua oscena proposta. Se invece per ronde intendiamo legalizzare una struttura nazionale controllata da uno o più partiti, con personale magari anche volontario ma organizzato e inquadrato quasi come quello di un corpo di polizia, allora dico no. Le ronde hanno senso solo se rimangono un esperienza strettamente locale, completamente slegata dalla struttura di comando delle FF.OO., fatta da cittadini disarmati e dotati di un minimo di senso civico.
